In the headlines:
- Comcast is now planning to get into the “gigabit internet game” here in Atlanta along with AT&T and Google, all now promising the super high speed service here in town, but none with dates attached.
- The Atlanta Streetcar starting date has been pushed back yet again. City officials had hoped to go live this weekend, in time for the SEC Championship Game, but it’s not going to happen. The FTA has not signed off yet.
- Bloomingdale’s at Lenox Square is ready to tap into Atlanta’s booming film and television business and have added a Studio Services department where their experts will help costumers and stylists select the perfect wardrobes and props for feature films, sitcoms and soap operas. This will be the first Studio Services that Bloomingdale’s offers outside of LA and New York.
- Georgia has joined a 17 state lawsuit challenging Obama’s recent executive order on immigration.
