Here’s what happened on the show today:
Atlanta Insiders Monica Prothro and Anthony Knight from Atlanta’s Cyclorama joined me to talk about all the special programming they have going on over there to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Battle Of Atlanta.
We spent some time on cause marketing, the origins, statistics that indicate whether or not it works and some of the ways it can go wrong!
And… in the headlines:
- Two Atlanta Sweethearts on the struggle bus to fail town this week… ScoutMob has slashed its workforce and Tyler Perry’s latest movie is a bust.
- And speaking of coupon sites, Groupon is working the cause marketing angle here in Atlanta. Proof that they too are on the struggle bus?
- Want some happier news? “They’re moving’ on up…” Central Atlanta Progress is getting a new home in downtown Atlanta after residing on the ground floor of the Hurt Building since 1988, they’ll be on the top floor of their new home at 84 Walton Street.
- And I know this won’t shock anyone, but there is another new scam out there to try to steal your identity. Please just don’t click on any links in an email EVEN if you know the sender. If it’s something really important you’ll either be expecting it, or you’ll be able to tell what the link is. If you’re in doubt at all, go to a browser and type in the name of the site your trying to go to directly!!
