Plus, Adam Gajdharsingh joined the show for our weekly Work Hard/Play Hard segment, highlighting events in Atlanta.

In the headlines:

  • Google is planning an expansion of it’s metro Atlanta area data center to the tune of almost double.  Currently the data center is around 500,000 square feet, but the expansion should take it up to over 800,000.
  • Shake Shack is looking at potentially being your go-to burger at the new Cobb County Braves Stadium, SunTrust Park.
  • The FDA has extended a deadline for restaurant chains to put calories on the menu for another year.  Proponents of the new regulation say it’s a loss for consumers and that restaurants are just stalling.  On the restaurant side, they say the rules are too vague and are harder to comply with for certain kinds of items.
  • Sales of Apple Watch have dropped dramatically – 90 percent since pre-orders went live in April.  Problem or no?
  • How much of a conspiracy theorist are you?  Did you catch the headlines this week with cyber glitches at the NYSE, Untied Airlines and the Wall Street Journal?  Coincidence??
  • How long do you think the hiring process should take?  A recent study by GlassDoor.com says the average in the US is around 23 days!
