DETAILS: Stroll through magnificent buildings and streets to enjoy the beauty of Downtown Atlanta. Participating galleries include the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Gallery, Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History, The African American Panoramic Experience (APEX) Museum, FUSE at  C4 Atlanta, Georgia State University Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design Gallery, Luckie Street Studios, Paige Harvey Art Studio, The Rialto Center for the Arts. The Rialto features “Through the Ground Glass: Vine City”, photographs by Atlanta artist C. Rose Smith. This series explores the rich Black history and current culture of one of Atlanta’s working-class communities, Vine City.

WHAT: Parliament of Owls: A Midtown Lantern Parade

DETAILS: Parliament of Owls is an owl themed lantern parade based in community participation. Make any kind of owl lantern you’d like! But kindly stay in the black and white theme. Owls are white, the attire is black. The parade will start at the Promenade II building at 1230 Peachtree Street NE, 30309 traveling to the Plaza at Colony Square.
