- Thursday, IBM Corp. announced it will acquire Atlanta-based tech firm Silverpop.
- Atlanta-based Scoutmob has raised about $3 million in venture capital, short of the $5 million it had been seeking.
- CBS has announced Stephen Colbert as its choice to replace the retiring David Letterman as host of “The Late Show”. (Okay it’s not really business but still, I thought you’d want to know!)
- And we’ve been talking a lot lately about the fast-food breakfast wars… well that’s not the only game in town, there’s also the “original programming wars” with Netflix and Amazon jumping on the bandwagon… and Yahoo is now getting in the game as well… but are they too late?
