A.J. Robinson, President of Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) joined Dana live in studio to give us this year’s recap of Atlanta progress and a peek to what’s in store for 2015.
CAP and ADID work together to provide leadership and services which improve the city of Atlanta and help businesses thrive.
In the headlines:
- The Woodruff Arts Center has gotten the largest gift in it’s 46 year history. The center’s biggest benefactor, the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation has gifted $38 million this year.
- Atlanta may be set to get its largest convention hotel so far with up to 2,000 rooms. This would increase Atlanta’s downtown hotel rooms by 10% and have a huge impact on the convention business.
- The Tyler Perry deal with Fort McPherson may be a no-go. Rumors are abounding.
- Castleberry Hill may be starting to see the benefits of economic recovery as new buildings and developments are now in the works for the area.
