In the headlines:
- More on the Mercedes US Headquarters moving to Atlanta.
- In the movie biz, Atlanta’s Giant Studios has sold their proprietary performance capture technology to James Cameron’s Lightstorm entertainment. The tech will continue to be developed by Lightstorm along with some of the original Giant Studios team. (The plan is to use it in the next 3 Avatar films).
- Keurig (who has already partnered with Coca-Cola) has now added a relationship with Dr. Pepper and Snapple to develop drink products for the Keurig Cold at-home beverage system (a product Dana says she may never need or want).
- Mayor Reed has fired Fire Chief, Kelvin Cochran over a book he self published in which he calls homosexuality ‘unclean’ and ‘vulgar’. The Mayor says Cochran’s beliefs are not the basis for the termination, but that he violated the city’s Code of Conduct in publishing the book.
