In the guest chair:
John Adler, President of Adler Consulting, Inc. joined Dana in studio for a discussion on how to secure financing for non-bankable operating companies, rising interest rates and when to give up equity.

In the headlines:
- The World Economic Forum has kicked off in Switzerland with 2,500 heads of state, business leaders, philanthropists and artists in attendance. Oil prices are the main topic with most talking about the positive economic impacts. For some countries, like Russia, the impact is not so good.
- The Atlanta City Council has approved the $3.2 million grant for NCR, helping them move from Duluth, GA to Midtown. Dana understands the job and tax base draw, but wonders… are they really “bringing” jobs into the city or just “shifting” jobs? We can see why small businesses get pissy about this kind of stuff!
- Metro Atlanta hotels rank #1 in the nation for occupancy growth in 2014 (which is sparking a lot of interest in building more).
- Congratulations to Dana Barrett Show regular, Chris Rouland! His company, Bastille Networks has just raised another $1 Million, this time from Bessemer Ventures out of Silicon Valley.
