In the headlines:

  • Apple’s CEO Tim Cook came out last week – saying “He’s proud to be gay”.  Are these announcements even news anymore?  Yes – and no.
  • Tech Square Labs is putting a new 15,000 square foot “innovation center” in Midtown.  The center will “birth information security, marketing automation, and business-to-consumer (B2C) startups”.  Um… so it’s an incubator.  But with out calling itself that.
  • A 1 billion dollar makeover of the intersection of 285 and 400 is getting ready to get started.  The state’s procurement process is kicking off – um soon.
  • Georgia Power is getting in on the electric car charging game.  They’re investing $12 million in a pilot program that will boost the number of electric vehicle chargers in Georgia.
