In the guest chair:
Scott Sadler, President of Boardwalk Capital joined me to talk about “socially responsible investing”. Of note, he hates the term “socially responsible investing” because he says it’s come to mean investing with your heart and NOT your head. In other words, good over profit. Scott’s philosophy is good AND profit… otherwise the whole thing is not sustainable!
In the headlines:
- Water has become more precious than gold. Hard to imagine jewelry made out of water though.
- The Chick-Fil-A Bowl gets a new name… sort of…
- Atlanta’s soon to be soccer team needs a name. Since there’s nothing official, the Atlanta Business Chronicle asked some marketing experts to weigh in. We’ll share some of their ideas. (Oh and by the way sour grapes from Orlando over Atlanta getting the team!)
- And moving to my sport of choice, shopping, rumor has it that Neiman Marcus Last Call may be planned for Lenox Marketplace. (You know the shopping center across from Phipps with the Target and Publix).
