In the guest chair:
Tino Mantella, President and CEO at TAG – Technology Association of Georgia joined me in the studio to talk about TAG’s mission and history, as well as what the future looks like for Atlanta in the technology sector and he shared his thoughts on the new “Patent Troll” legislation that aims to help curb this predatory (and in my opinion wholly obnoxious) practice.
On the phone:
New York Times bestselling author Libba Bray joined me on the phone to talk about National Audiobook Month and the publishing industry on the whole.
*NOTE: Today was a day for giving out new job titles. Tino is now known as “Top Dog” at TAG, and Libba Bray is not only a NYT bestselling author, she will now forever be known as Super Vixen!
In the headlines:
- Patent Trolling is back in the news here in GA. We have a new law that is trying to change this practice.
- Zagat names Atlanta’s 10 Hottest New Restaurants – I’ve been to none of them. I am now officially uncool.
- RadioShack finally has an idea that might help to make them relevant again.
- And the Georgia DOT is looking into using drones to help them figure out what is wrong with Atlanta traffic. Seriously? I could save them a lot of money. If they’d just call me, I could tell them exactly what’s wrong!
