Charisma Williams, CEO of Designing Charisma a growing architecture firm here in Atlanta joined me in-studio to talk about the challenges of being in a growth phase. She suggests considering using a PEO to handle your administrative functions.
Charisma mentioned that it was the her firm’s third year anniversary and she shared some of the “growing pains” that she said they had to go through.
New York Times Bestselling Author Austin Kleon called in to talk about his new book SHOW YOUR WORK! We talked about reading obituaries, and staying away from vampires among other things! The book is a motivator for sure, if you’ve been shy or reluctant, you’ll definitely get why you should “Show Your Work!” after reading Austin’s book! - Sixth Grader Katie Francis from Oklahoma City sold over 18,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies this year breaking the record for most cookies sold! I think she’s already getting calls from recruiters.
- Do you order in instead of cooking? Any idea what that market might be worth? Well, apparently it’s around $1.7 Billion – that’s the valuation for GrubHub’s upcoming IPO.
- I find business very entertaining which is why I love when business and entertainment intersect. Author Michael Lewis’ bestselling book THE BIG SHORT is going Hollywood. Yup, the same people who brought us MoneyBall are now working to bring The Big Short to the screen! Do you think they’d let me pre-order my ticket now?
- And Apple may be trying to cut a streaming TV deal with Comcast (Another story under the Net Neutrality umbrella!).
